Sam Frost's engagement ring from The Bachelor has sold way above its top estimate at auction.
The 3.01-carat Valentin cushion-cut diamond ring sold for a healthy $26,000 on Thursday, four grand higher than its top valuation.
But the anonymous, over-the-phone buyer will have to pay a 22 per cent fee to the Leonard Joel Auction House, putting the total cost at $31,720.
"In this case it's actually exceeded the high estimate," Head of Jewellery John D'Agata told AAP said.
"That's very, very good for everyone."
Frost had been told the ring was worth $58,000 when it was given to her by Blake Garvey during the series finale of the show.
But it was later valued by the auction house at between $18,000 and $22,000.
Frost enlisted the help of Sydney radio hosts Fitzy and Wippa to get rid of the ring, after pondering what to do with it on her blog.
In a video of the moment the ring sold Frost, is seen hugging one of the hosts, clapping her hands and smiling.
The 25-year-old has previously said she will pay off credit cards and donate to charity with proceeds from the sale.
A Nova spokeswoman told AAP the auction house had wavered Frost's selling fees because the money was for charitable purposes but Mr D'Agata could not confirm that for privacy reasons.
Recordings of Sam's reaction are to be broadcast on Friday.
