Best Female Artist goes to Courtney Barnett for Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit.

She thanked her cat Bubbles for the award.

She played a gig in London last night and stayed up all night to accept this award via video link.

James Blunt jokingly accuses the ARIAs of making up Ed Sheeran's Diamond Award to lure in international artists to attend.

As he welcomed him to the stage, he introduced him as "the Pom with the big schlong".

After winning Best Male Artist Vance Joy aka James Keogh opened up about Taylor Swift, who he described as "super hard working. It makes you aware [of what you have to do]."

On the highlights of his showbiz career so far he said "he met Julia Roberts at one of Taylor Swift's shows and it was surreal."

Keogh has been Swift's supporting act on her 1989 world tour, the Australia leg kicks off on Saturday night in Sydney.

"Ladies over 40, we decide when we stop," Tina Arena on women in the music biz these days.

Cadel Evans presented Tina Arena with her Hall of Fame award, reciprocating the honour after Arena sang the national anthem for him on the Champs Elysees when he won the Tour de France in 2011. Both got teary on stage and punched everyone watching right in the feels.
