I have to duck out to an appointment so I'm calling it a day.
What happened?
Prime Minister Tony Abbott says there is no time limit on Australia's military deployment to the Middle East to fight Islamic State;
government MP Andrew Laming was suspended from Parliament for bringing bunker fuel into one of its chambers;
Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and Treasurer Joe Hockey disagreed over whether capping the iron ore price would be a good idea;
Parliament House is getting even more security; and
the Opposition wants the new submarine fleet to be built in Australia.
A couple of things came to draw your attention to.
Prime Minister Tony Abbott says there is no time limit on Australia's military deployment to the Middle East to fight Islamic State and he has left open the door to six Australian Super Hornet jets expanding their operations into Syria in the future.
And - the Democratic Labour Party has written to the Palmer United Party scotching talk of joint legal action against defectors John Madigan and Glenn Lazarus.
Foreign Minister Julie Bishop thought so this morning. Treasurer Joe Hockey thinks not. Which is just what their relationship needs.

Question time is over but the Opposition isn't letting go of the Andrew Laming fuel incident.
Given Dr Laming's somewhat unrepentant statement the Opposition wants the Speaker to investigate and examine whether he should be referred to Parliament's privileges committee.
Mrs Bishop agrees to do so.
But back to question time and the budget.
Mr Abbott: "Labor wouldn't recognise a surplus if they fell on one. They haven't seen a surplus since 1989."
Just in case you want to watch the Dr Laming moment that got him suspended from Parliament here it is.

Dr Laming isn't backing down from the fuel stunt: "If Australian families have to breathe it, I don't back down bringing it to Parliament to make the point."
