The Bachelor Australia fakes Lisa's family home

By Melissa Jenkins

Fans of The Bachelor, you've been punked.

Remember that dreamy, waterside Noosa mansion Lisa calls home? It was a fake.

Blake visited the homes of the remaining bachelorettes last week on Network Ten reality series.

Lisa and Blake kayaked up to the stunning Queensland property and she lied that it was her family home.

"Wow, it's huge," Blake said as they approached the palatial residence.

"Welcome to my home," Lisa replied.

A Shine Australia spokesperson said the property was rented on Lisa's parents behalf. "Their current family home in Noosa was not able to be used for production purposes," they said in a statement.

The property is listed on the R&W Noosa Holidays website to rent at a cost of up to $1050 per night.

Shine Australia has since confirmed to AAP that Louise's Thredbo family home is owned by her parents and Sam's home visit was to her sister's Mornington Peninsula house.

It's not the first time a reality television show has falsely claimed to have filmed at someone's home. Some of the contestants rented or borrowed properties on the Seven Network's My Kitchen Rules cooking competition as their real homes were unsuitable to fit the cameras and crew involved in filming the instant restaurants.

In Being Lara Bingle, filming for the Ten series was done at a rented luxurious Bondi apartment rather than the model's Darling Point flat.

The penultimate episode of The Bachelor will screen on Ten at 7.30pm (AEST) on Wednesday when Blake travels to South Africa with Louise, Lisa and Sam.
