The "Party Prince" has celebrated his final night in Australia with a strawberry soufflé and still water in the Shire.
Managers at the Summer Salt Restaurant in Cronulla catered for Prince Harry and his entourage of 10 on Friday night where the royal marked the end of his secondment with the Australian armed forces with a low key casual dinner.
"His minders came in before he arrived at 7.30pm and told me they had a very big VIP interested in coming to dinner. I thought someone was having a joke until they started checking out all the entry and exit points and doing security checks," general manager Brooke O'Hehir told Fairfax Media.
As in Perth, the prince was reportedly in the mood for a hamburger, but settled on a three-course meal starting with a smoked cod croquette, an Atlantic salmon steak for main and a strawberry soufflé to finish off his three-and-a-half hour night out.
"When we were told he was interested in a burger I panicked as we don't serve them so I ran around and sourced everything we needed for a Wagyu beef burger," Ms O'Hehir said.
While his five security guards ate at a separate table, the prince dined with five friends, four men and one woman.
"They had a mixture of British and Aussie accents but I couldn't identify any of them," she said.
The party of six ordered "a few beers and a couple of glasses of wine" but Harry stuck to still water at the restaurant, which is located inside a surf club and offers uninterrupted ocean views.
All other patrons and staff were requested to abstain from posting anything about the prince's last Australian supper on social media until Saturday.
"He came in wearing a baseball cap and was barely recognisable but then he relaxed, took his cap off and word quickly spread around the restaurant that Prince Harry was here."
The prince declined requests for photos when settling the bill but left a generous 15 per cent tip.
