Lara forced to fess up about pregnancy
By Lucy Manly
Just hours after touching down in Sydney last week from her Los Angeles base, Lara Worthington returned to the red carpet for the opening of Louis Vuitton’s new flagship store on George Street. Confirming her pregnancy to Vogue Australia, the 32-year-old said she and husband Sam were set to make it three boys in 2020.
“Yes, I’m pregnant! I’m having a boy early next year,” she told the fashion glossy. “It’s my third boy and we’re all very excited and very happy.”
However, Emerald City understands the Aussie export had no intentions of publicly announcing her pregnancy during the trip but was left with no choice when nothing from the Louis Vuitton clothing collection would fit. But the 'So where the bloody hell are you’ model still managed to keep the brand happy by donning a daring Louis Vuitton pyjamas set instead for the party.
Model behaviour in Sydney
Oh to live the life of a top model; fame, fortune and invitations to some of the most exclusive parties in the world. Last week a number of local and international models graced Sydney with their presence for the Louis Vuitton store launch.
Kiwi and Victoria’s Secret model Georgia Fowler made no secret of her shameless flirting with DJ, model and former AFL player Tom Derickx. The pair were seen canoodling at the Louis Vuitton ‘After Dark’ afterparty at Campbell’s Cove Stores and could easily have been mistaken for a couple.
Meanwhile, fellow off-duty model Jordan Barrett had his IMG manager follow his every move from the bar, to the dancefloor and even out to the smoking area. Never far from a headline, it was only last month, Emerald City reported the Byron Bay-raised model found himself in hot water in the Lexus Marquee on Derby Day when he was vaping inside the trackside venue.
Hemmes and Fowler reunite at designer party
Bar tsar Justin Hemmes put his fashionable foot forward on Wednesday evening at the party of the week at the Louis Vuitton store launch, with his former partner Kate Fowler also in attendance.
The pair were seen deep in conversation at the after-party. “They will always remain friends, that’s the mother of his children,” a source close to Hemmes told Emerald City on the night. “They co-parent beautifully and ultimately are better off as friends.”
Since confirming their amicable split in July 2018, Hemmes, 46, has been linked to a number of ladies in the harbour city, including model Montana Cox and more recently one of his Merivale staff members, rumours he has denied.
Sony spawn linked to radio host
Emily Handlin, the daughter of high-powered Sony Music boss, Denis Handlin, has found love with someone in the music industry. Stepping out together at the ARIA Awards at The Star on Wednesday night, Emily, 27 looked very loved up with Hit national weekend breakfast presenter Angus O’Loughlin, 31.
The pair are understood to have met at Southern Cross Austereo where Handlin worked as an executive assistant to Gemma Fordham. O’Loughlin recently told his Instagram followers that while he doesn’t live with his girlfriend, the pair spend three nights a week together. As the daughter of Australia’s most powerful man in music, Emily isn’t the only Handlin in the family to find a partner in the music industry; older brother Pat is engaged to former X Factor winner Samantha Jade, whom he has been with since June 2017.
