CareFlight helps 7900 Territorians in huge year

The Northern Territory’s leading aeromedical service, CareFlight, clocked its busiest year on record in 2023 amassing a whopping 7900 patient retrievals.The service works closely with the NT Government and its medical partners to organise patient transport but also assisted in search and rescue missions for the Australian Maritime Safety Authority and provided aeromedical support for Defence services.CareFlight Top End deputy medical director Sarah Mackney said she was proud of her team and the way they handled the heavy workload last year.
