POLICE are calling for witnesses after a woman was allegedly assaulted in Leanyer.
About 5pm a member of the public alerted police to a woman who had been assaulted, and found on the side of Vanderlin Drive near Leanyer Recreation Park.
A number of vehicles stopped and members of the public provided assistance the injured woman, who has since been taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital.

Police are seeking information from the members of the public who witnessed or assisted in this matter, to call police on 131 444.
