TWO men will remain in custody after they fronted Alice Springs Local Court yesterday on charges in relation to the serious assault of a man on September 4.
Police will allege Ritchie Tomlins, 29, and Russell Collins, 34, detained a 43-year-old man before severely assaulting him.
The man was found in the driveway of an East Side home by two members of the public, who alerted police and emergency services.
He was transported to the Alice Springs Hospital where he received treatment for life-threatening injuries.
Detectives from the Southern Region Investigation Division arrested and charged the two men with intend serious harm, cause serious harm, deprive a person of personal liberty and make a threat to kill a person.
The pair was remanded in custody.
Mr Tomlins will reappear on November 5 for a preliminary examination mention.
