Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad in Darwin arrested Tomlins on September 24 and charged him with one count each of deprivation of liberty, intentionally causing serious harm, making a threat to kill and aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The two other men, aged 29 and 34, were arrested in Alice Springs and also charged with deprivation of liberty and intentionally causing serious harm.
They faced court in Alice Springs on September 14.
At the time, Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Leith Philips said police were calling for public assistance from residents and for people who were in the area on the night to contact them.
“We are seeking public assistance from residents with CCTV or people with dashcam who may have driven in these areas which may assist our investigation,” he said.
“We urge anyone who may have footage, or have heard a disturbance in the areas of Gosse Street, Lindsay Ave or Sturt Terrace around the time of 10pm, to contact us.”
Tomlins was remanded in custody and will return to court for a preliminary examination mention on November 11 before a judge will decide if the evidence against him is sufficient to send him to his trial in the Supreme Court.
