A PROMINENT Territory sportsman appeared in court charged with rape and domestic violence offences.
The 25-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in court on Wednesday where he stands charged with 19 offences including rape, assault and deprivation of liberty.
The court heard during a previous mention that complainants are two women.
Prosecutor Luke McLaughlin previously told the court there was “corroborative evidence” against the defendant of allegedly perpetrating “ongoing abuse – physically, psychologically and of a sexual nature”.
He was granted bail in February.
The matter was adjourned to August 18 with the man’s bail being extended.
