Teenager charged over two separate alleged assaults

A TEENAGER has been charged for allegedly assaulting two staff members of an Alice Springs hotel restaurant and a security guard of another venue in two separate incidents on Tuesday.

Police will allege that the 17-year-old boy was at the restaurant on Stott Tce when he pushed past a staff member to grab a bottle of alcohol from behind the bar.

He then ran out of the restaurant and allegedly hit another staff member to the neck and head as she tried to stop him.

The teenager fled the scene in a waiting car.

The two staff members did not require further medical treatment.

Police were then called to a disturbance in the carpark of a licenced premises on Gap Road where the same boy allegedly assaulted a 55-year-old security guard.

The boy was arrested and charged with assault with intent to steal and aggravated assault.

Anyone who may have may have a golden coloured Holden Commodore Sedan with a green spoiler in the Alice Spring area is urged to contact police.
