SIX girls have been arrested for allegedly stealing and crashing a car in Palmerston on Wednesday night.
NT Police said about 6.30pm CCTV operators spotted the group allegedly stealing the car from Bakewell Shopping Centre.

A nearby patrol unit was called, who then soon spotted the group and started a short pursuit.
The car was driven through a red light at the intersection of Roystonea Ave and University Ave and then crashed into a 4WD.
Police arrested the passengers who were in their mid teens and the driver who was aged 20.
The girls were taken to Royal Darwin Hospital and Palmerston Regional Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was also taken to hospital.

It is understood the underage passengers were released. The driver was charged with stealing, driving unlicensed, driving in a dangerous manner and aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
