About 9am yesterday NT Police received a report of a suspicious man in Moulden who allegedly tried to speak to a child, and followed her to school.

She did not speak to the man and reported him to school staff.

He was described as being of Aboriginal appearance, aged 20 to 30 and of skinny build with short black hair.

In a separate incident, a man allegedly indecently exposed himself to a child who was walking home from school about 3.40pm yesterday in Malak.

The man was reported as being of caucasian appearance, aged 25 to 30 with blond or brown wavy, mid-length hair.

He was wearing a black singlet and no pants.

He is believed to have been travelling in an older-model light blue or silver hatchback.

Police do not believe the incidents were related.

NT Police is investigating and have increased patrols in those areas.

Parents and carers are encouraged to remind children of the 3 Rs:

R – RECOGNISE danger.

R – REACT by yelling out and running away.

R – REPORT to a trusted adult.

Anyone with information in relation to these incidents or similar suspicious activity is urged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
