Report into Darwin prison riot in government’s hands

A REVIEW into a prison riot at the Darwin Correctional Centre in May was handed to the Gunner government in July, just before it went into caretaker mode.

A REVIEW into a prison riot at the Darwin Correctional Centre in May was handed to the Gunner government in July just before it went into caretaker mode.

A spokeswoman for the Attorney-General said: “the report into the serious disturbance at DCC in May by Professor Paget has been received by government and will be considered following the end of the caretaker period.”

Northern Territory Correctional Services could not comment on the matter.
