SIX people have been arrested while protesting at a government office in Darwin yesterday.
The group were hosting a sit-in at the Department of Home Affairs office in the Darwin CBD, calling for the release of nine refugees who have been detained in a Darwin hotel for more than a year, when they were arrested by members of the NT Police.
Footage posted on the FreeTheDarwin15 Instagram page shows several of the protesters being carried out by police.
The protesters have been issued with infringement notices, but have not been charged.
