Police make arrest after man suffers ‘significant injuries’ in northern suburbs attack
Police have arrested a 27-year-old man after he allegedly seriously assaulted another man in Darwin’s northern suburbs.

POLICE have arrested a 27-year-old man after he allegedly seriously assaulted another man in Darwin’s northern suburbs on Wednesday.
A police spokesman said officers were called to a residence in Karama at about 8.30pm and found a 45-year-old man “with significant injuries to his upper body”.
The victim, who was known to the alleged offender, was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital and the other man fled the scene before he was arrested a short time later.
He has now been charged with intentionally causing serious harm, possessing a controlled weapon and contravening an emergency direction.
He was remanded in custody and will face the Darwin Local Court at a later date.
