POLICE are investigating an alleged robbery and assault at a Wanguri service station.

At around 11pm on Saturday, three male youths – all aged 15 – went to a Wanguri service station before one of the three entered the premises and tried to steal items.

He was confronted by a staff member who he then allegedly assaulted.

The trio fled the premises towards Gsell Street riding pushbikes and a scooter.

Detectives are seeking information as to the whereabouts of the youth who entered the service station.

He is described as being of Aboriginal appearance with light complexion, thin frame and short brown hair.

He was wearing black shorts and sneakers with no shirt.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
