Police chase stolen car in Alice Springs

POLICE pursued a driver through Alice Springs overnight after realising the car had been stolen the morning before.

POLICE pursued a driver through Alice Springs overnight after realising the car had been stolen the morning before.

Southern Watch Commander Adrian Kidney said the car had been stolen yesterday morning at around 5am following a break-in at a home in Braitling.

Police spotted the car throughout the night a started a pursuit but stopped because of dangerous driving.

The car was eventually abandoned in Gillen with police taking it for forensics.

Investigations are ongoing.

Police are also investigating a break-in at the Ross River Resort near Alice Springs, during which bottles of alcohol and $2000 in cash was stolen.
