NT Police Northern Watch Commander Len Turner said police were called out to the community at about 3am on Sunday and discovered that one of the “troublemakers” was in breach of a domestic violence order.

“They went in to arrest him and upon arrest he punched the police officer and in the ensuing struggle he then bit the police officer on his arm,” he said.

“Police managed to further restrain him and bring him under control by the use of OC spray.”
