Police hold concerns for the pair as they have not been in contact with family since they were last seen, and initial police inquiries have not located the two.
Makasha is described as a 17-year-old Aboriginal female with a slim build, brown eyes and shoulder length wavy hair.
A spokeswoman from NT Police said investigations were taking place both within the NT and in WA.

Weather conditions across Central Australia have been incredibly hot in the time since Makasha and her child were last seen, reaching temperatures as high as 38C last week and 35C today.
