“Over three weeks, we unfortunately had to arrest 58 people for domestic and family violence-related offences in the Darwin region alone.

“Some of these arrests were for breaching DVOs and others were for more serious offences like stabbing.

“Tackling this problem is everyone’s responsibility, and while police will continue to work to reduce offending, we can all do our bit to say ‘No More’ to domestic and family violence. People should feel safe at home and in their relationships. There is help out there.”

The results of the operation included:

  • 58 arrests
  • 102 incidents of offender education
  • 118 incidents of Victim Support Assessments
  • 226 hotspot areas patrolled
  • 52 referrals to support services
  • 48 DVOs served
  • Seven DV Educational Training with stakeholders / community groups
