A KNIFE-WIELDING man has been arrested after allegedly threatening members of the public for their money at an ATM in the Darwin CBD.
Northern Watch Commander Siiri Tennosaar said police received a report at around 1.50am Sunday morning that the male was threatening members of the public as they approached an ATM near Mitchell St, demanding money.
Police attended and arrested the 24-year-old male who remains in police custody this morning to be interviewed.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or were themselves a victim, to come forward.
