A MAN has been charged with attempted murder and a second with aggravated assault after the pair allegedly assaulted a woman on Saturday.
About 2.20am it was reported to police a 33-year-old woman in a community in East Arnhem had allegedly been assaulted and suffered serious injuries to her head.

Police allege a 23-year-old man and a 29-year-old man unlawfully entered the woman’s home before assaulting her.
A neighbour attempted to assist the woman, when he was also assaulted and knocked unconscious. The woman was taken to hospital and was later released.
The offenders left before police arrived. Officers conducted a search throughout the community and arrested the two men.
The 23-year-old was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated unlawful entry, criminal damage and going armed in public.

The 29-year-old was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, aggravated unlawful entry, criminal damage and going armed in public.
They were remanded to appear in the Darwin Local Court on February 9, 2021.
