Lottoland Australia Pty Ltd took both Gaming Minister Natasha Fyles and the NT Racing Commission to court after Ms Fyles’ office informed the company they were making changes to the NT’s Betting Act.

Lawyers for Lottoland argued the changes, which would no longer allow them to sell their Jackpot Betting products, would result in them losing “95 per cent of their revenue”.

During an appearance in the Darwin Supreme Court, lawyers for Ms Fyles tried to bring their own motion before the court ahead of the hearing, saying an affidavit filed could prove the gambling products in question were “illegal”.
