POLICE are investigating three instances of rock throwing in Alice Springs overnight, including one where a truck travelling on the Stuart Hwy was targeted.
Southern Watch Commander Darryl Kerr said the first instance saw a car on the back of a truck damaged.
“We had a bit of rock throwing in Alice Springs overnight. A few vehicles got damaged,” he said.
“About 9.30pm, Stuart Hwy near the Larapinta lights, there was a truck travelling north carrying vehicles and a group of juveniles smashed a rear passenger window of a Ford that was on the truck.
“The truck driver then continued on and contacted us.”
Snr Sgt Kerr said the rock throwing continued throughout the night, with two more instances.
“About 10pm on Todd St there was a report of juveniles throwing rocks. (They) damaged the side window of a taxi,” he said.

“Then about 10.45pm in Khalik St, a vehicle had a window broken by rock throwing.”
No one was injured in the incidents.
