A MOTORCYCLIST accused of speeding at more than 200km/h in a 100km/h zone has had his first day in court after being charged with driving at a dangerous speed.
Hayden Donald Vass, 29, was not required to front the Darwin Local Court on Tuesday where his lawyer, Mary Chalmers, successfully applied for the case to be adjourned until October 12.
Police allegedly spotted Vass travelling at 202km/h near Hidden Valley on August 16 before being pulled over and handed a summons.

At the time, Senior Sergeant Paul Faustmann said Vass was fortunate he “didn’t become a further fatality statistic”.
