Lynch’s lawyer, Marty Aust, asked for the matter to be adjourned as his client is still in hospital.
“He has a fracture to his left arm and has numerous fractured ribs,” Mr Aust said.
“He’s in hospital under guard, he might be having some surgery today.”
Mr Aust said he thinks it is unlikely his client will apply for bail.
“He’s also on a suspended sentence, your honour, so there are a number of presumptions against that.”
The matter will return to court on July 14.
