A MAN has been taken to hospital with stab wounds after he was attacked by an unknown assailant outside his home in Palmerston.

A MAN has been taken to hospital with stab wounds after he was attacked by an unknown assailant outside his home in Palmerston.
NT Police Northern Watch Commander Senior Sergeant Mick Fields said about 6pm yesterday, the 44-year-old man was attacked by a male stranger at the front of his house on McGuire Cct, Moulden.
The man received stab wounds to his face and legs.
Sr Sgt Fields said the man had managed to physically restrain his attacker, but the alleged offender fled while he was calling the police.
The man was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment for non life-threatening injuries.
