A 60-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in relation to an alleged aggravated assault incident where a man was stabbed in Tennant Creek overnight.
At about 11.40pm on Monday police were called to a home on Weaber Rd where they found a 32-year-old man with a serious stab wound to his abdomen.
“There was a large amount of blood on the scene,” Southern Watch Commander Steve Pfitzner said.
“The man was taken to the hospital and has been flown to Alice Springs Hospital for further treatment. He is in a serious but stable condition.”
He said a man, 60, was later arrested and is assisting police with inquiries.
