THE last known photo taken of missing man Paddy Moriarty was released by police on Thursday as they announced a $250,000 reward seeking information that will help them unravel the murder.

Mr Moriarty and his dog Kellie went missing on December 16, 2017 and haven’t been seen since.

His disappearance from the tiny town of less than a dozen residents, captivated the world. Police are seeking leads that will help them uncover his whereabouts and convict his murderer.

Larrimah resident Bobbie Roth, 83 said she and her husband Karl, were ready to move on from the mystery.

She was reluctant to speak but said: “I hope that this (reward) does bring something out.”

Yesterday Detective Sergeant Matthew Allen travelled to Larrimah to put up the signs seeking a reward.

Sergeant Allen said he could not disclose when the image was given to police.

“During the course of our investigation police received the photo. Can’t discuss specifics in relation to when it was received and who took the photo,” he said.

He said announcing the reward and releasing the image would hopefully get people talking.

“Investigators believe it might help spark conversations about Paddy as he was sitting in his usual location at the pub,” he said.

Sergeant Allen said he could not disclose if Thursday’s announcement had encouraged someone to come forward with information.

“(I) Can’t discuss the nature of reports received but every piece of public information will be assessed by the investigation team,” he said.

The small town is slowly moving on with the Larrimah Pink Panther Hotel announcing, after a 20 year hiatus the Larrimah Irish Ashes Cricket match will return in March.
