Bravos, who was then a member of the drug squad, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual intercourse without consent dating back to 2004 against a fellow cop.

Crown prosecutor in the trial Nick Papas QC told the court yesterday that he no longer intends to call Ms Purick or Ms Gwynne.

NT Police Commissioner Jamie Chalker, however, is still expected to be called to give evidence.

The court has so far heard from a number of witnesses since the trial began last Monday including a number of current and former members of NT Police.

The trial is expected to run for another two and a half weeks.
