TWO people are in hospital, including one in critical condition, after a serious crash in the Darwin rural area suburb of Bees Creek overnight.
A NT Police spokesman said a 35-year-old man was driving a Honda ATV buggy with a 33-year-old female passenger when the vehicle left the road and rolled multiple times on Bees Creek Rd about 1.30am.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said the pair had been transported to Royal Darwin Hospital by paramedics, with the woman in critical condition and the man with non-life threatening injuries.
Police initially advised the man had been discharged, but have since said both people are still in hospital.
The woman remains in a critical condition and the man is in a serious condition.
At the scene this morning, the extensively damaged buggy was still lying on its side in a drainage ditch, as Major Crash Investigation officers conducted their investigations.
Emergency services have closed off Bees Creek Rd between Thorburn Rd and 500m south along Bees Creek Rd as they respond to the incident.
