AN ALAWA woman has been fined for breaching coronavirus lockdown restrictions after she was busted hosting a gathering of more than a dozen people, including one person who should have been self-isolating.
The 45-year-old was issued a $1099 infringement notice on Saturday for inviting 10 people over to her house where one of the four residents was supposed to be in quarantine after returning from interstate.

The party was broken up as police, public and environmental health officers and the Australian Defence Force continue to undertake quarantine compliance checks in response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
Public gatherings of more than 10 people are banned while gatherings of more than two people who don’t live together are strongly discouraged.
Police have assured Territorians that fines will be issues to “anyone not respecting the community and doing the right thing” by observing social distancing.
