THE HOST of a 14 person social gathering has been labelled disgraceful by NT Police, after holding a party at her Alawa home while a housemate was quarantined at the residence.
The 45-year old woman hosting the gathering was fined a $1099 infringement notice, after NT Police commander Janelle Tonkin said police were tipped off by an anonymous caller and attended the home.

“The behaviour that was exhibited by the occupant of this house was disgraceful, absolutely disgraceful and puts the lives of Territorians at risk,” she said.
“I believe she was doing it knowingly, probably flippantly, thinking there was no harm to come from this.”
The person in quarantine had recently returned from interstate and was in forced quarantine at home but was not involved in the social gathering.
It’s the fourth infringement of coronavirus restrictions to be issued in the NT.
