CONVICTED killer and standover man Shane Mulhall will be sentenced next week after he was charged with dealing meth just six days after he was given a suspended sentence for a previous violent offence.

The 38-year-old appeared in Darwin Supreme Court on Tuesday after he was arrested and charged in October last year when a police raid on his Bakewell home uncovered about 75g of meth and almost $70,000 in cash.

He pleaded guilty to supplying a commercial quantity of methamphetamine earlier this month.

The court heard the police raid took place six days after Mulhall was handed a six-month wholly suspended sentence for trespass and threatening to burn down a house.

Crown prosecutor David Morters said the full six-month sentence should be restored “given his history and the speed with which he reoffended”.

Mulhall will return to court next week to be sentenced.
