NT Police have suspended the air, road and ground search for missing person Paul Anthony Baker.
The search covered more than of 180 square kilometres over two days with the assistance of the tactical response group, local aircraft resources, Katherine police and NTES volunteers.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Ian Kennon said while the had been suspended and Mr Baker had not been located in the Edith Farms area, police understood Mr Baker was known to be a competent bushman.
“It is believed that Mr Baker often travels into other remote areas of the Northern Territory. We still call upon the community to report any information to police as we continue our investigation,” he said.
Katherine Police and Regional Crime would like to thank the members of the community for the continuing reports of information, and the residents of Edith Farms for their cooperation and support over the past few days.

NT Police is searching for a 60-year-old man last seen almost two weeks ago in Katherine.
Paul Baker was last seen on the night of Friday August 6.
Police are seeking information on the safety and whereabouts of Mr Baker.
Mr Baker is described as caucasian, about 157cm tall and of medium build.
