NT Police confirmed they are investigating after a body was found east of Alice Springs on Saturday afternoon.
In a statement released late on Saturday evening, police said they responded to reports of a man’s body found on a track near Undooyla Rd about 4.05pm.
The man is yet to be identified and the cause of death is yet unknown.
Southern Watch Commander Senior Sergeant Andrew Dunne spoke to this masthead on Sunday morning and said the death was being handled by the crime squad.
The crime scene remains open, he said.
