Police investigate following fatal crash on Roper Highway
The NT’s road toll has reached 22, with 10 deaths in just one month, after a vehicle rolled over killing its 22-year-old driver on a remote highway.

Police are investigating following a fatal crash along a rural road, which comes as the tenth road death on Territory roads in a month.
Police said the vehicle rolled over about 35km north of the Jilkminggan access road along the Roper Hwy, just before 9am Tuesday.
NT Police and members of the Mataranka Clinic found the 22-year-old man dead at the scene.
A crime scene is now in place with the Roper Hwy closed while investigations continue.
Police urge anyone who was travelling along the highway between midnight and 8.30am with dashcam footage to contact police on 131 444, and reference P23287182.
The fatal crash brings the 2023 NT road toll to 22, and is the 13th death on Territory roads since the start of September.
This time last year the road toll was 45, with the overall from 2022 climbing to 52.
On September 29, a family of six were killed on the Stuart Highway in one of the worst road crashes in Territory history.
Last week two motorcyclists were killed within days of each other in single vehicle crashes.
