NORTHERN Territory police are calling for witnesses after a commercial excavator was stolen east of the Arnhem Highway.

The vehicle was stolen east of the Arnhem Highway, Adelaide River bridge crossing, sometime between September 10 and 12.

The excavator is a five-tonne, skid steer, red/orange in colour with a 1200ml mud bucket attachment.

Any witnesses who have information or dash-cam footage regarding the stolen property are encouraged to contact Police on 131 444 or via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Quote reference 9791903.
