NT POLICE are calling for public information in relation to a serious crash in the Darwin rural area this week in which several people were injured.
About 3.45pm Tuesday, a red Mitsubishi Lancer travelling west on Girraween Rd in Coolalinga, near the intersection of Eldelsten Rd, spun and travelled into the oncoming lane, colliding with a silver Ford Ranger utility heading east.
Both vehicles involved sustained significant damage.
The 39-year-old female driver of the Lancer and her 40-year-old male partner suffered serious injuries in the crash.
The 32-year-old female driver of the Ranger received minor injuries while her infant son, who was restrained in a capsule, was uninjured.
Both occupants of the Lancer are still in hospital receiving treatment.
Detective Senior Sergeant Brendan Lindner said officers wanted to speak to anyone who could shed more light on the incident.
“We are seeking anyone with information about the incident, or who are familiar with the persons involved and can assist establish their movements prior to the crash,” he said.
