Outback Wrangler Matt Wright continues to prepare for his mammoth eight-week trial over an alleged chopper crash conspiracy.

The Netflix star has pleaded not guilty to attempting to pervert the course of justice following a helicopter crash that killed his friend and co-star Chris ‘Willow’ Wilson in February 2022.

In a brief pre-trial Supreme Court hearing on Wednesday, Mr Wright’s barrister David Edwardson said he was still waiting for evidence to be compiled by police.

In the previous pre-trial hearing in October, Chief Justice Michael Grant heard Mr Wright was requesting access to a large amount of mobile phone data as well as the helicopter crash investigation.

Fifteen days after the original subpoena deadline, Justice Grant heard this information was still being compiled.

Justice Grant adjourned the matter to February 11, 2025 — five months out from Mr Wright’s anticipated July trial.
