A rogue dog was captured on Thursday after reportedly scaring off bystanders and attacking a man.

RANGERS captured a dog that reportedly attacked a man in Palmerston on Thursday, with council attempting to track down the owners.
NT Police Watch Commander Len Turner said police received calls about a menacing dog in Palmerston that was trying to attack a number of people on Emily Ct in Driver.
“The dog was reported to attack a man,” W/C Turner said.
“Palmerston rangers were contacted and attended there with police, the rangers eventually captured the dog and took it away with them.
“So far police did not receive any reports of any injuries and I believe that the Palmerston Council will be conducting investigations if there are any formal complaints.
“They will do their investigation and will try and track down the owners.
“The dog was trying to attack a fair few people, hence them ringing in panic to the police, there was a fair few people afraid of the dog.”
W/C turner said to direct any information people had to the Palmerston Council.
“Always maintain proper control of your animal because it is an offence not to have effective control of your dog,” he said.
