A 52-year-old Territory cop has been stood down over an alleged serious breach of police discipline.
NT Police late on Friday afternoon issued a statement confirming the officer had been dismissed from the force amid allegations of a serious breach of discipline under the Police Administration Act 1978.
“An internal investigation was promptly launched after the allegations were made, leading to the officer’s dismissal this afternoon,” a spokesman said.
“This information is provided in accordance with NT Police Transparency Guidelines.”
