A pair of Katherine men have been left with stab wounds after two adult men allegedly broke into their home to steal booze, cops say.
NT Police allege two men aged 24 and 30 unlawfully entered a home in Katherine South about 10.30pm on Thursday.
There they allegedly stabbed a 53-year-old in the leg and 64-year-old man in the chest before stealing alcohol and fleeing on foot.
NT Police and St John Ambulance attended.
An NT Police spokesperson said the 24-year-old was arrested a short time later, while the 30-year-old was found and arrested at a home in Katherine.
Both injured men were taken to Katherine Hospital for treatment and are in a stable condition.
Police said the alleged offenders are not believed to be known to the victims, but investigations are ongoing.
The alleged offenders remain in police custody with charges expected to be laid.
