Police cracked down on a spate of separate incidents across the Top End, including one where a taxi driver was allegedly threatened with a hammer.

A taxi driver was allegedly threatened with a hammer by a teenager, in a spate of separate incidents which resulted in seven arrests.

NT Police said on Monday Strike Force Trident members made the arrests after trawling CCTV evidence from three separate incidents in Darwin and Palmerston.

In the first incident on Thursday, September 8 a 13-year-old allegedly used a small hammer to threaten a taxi driver and demand money after being driven to an address in Palmerston.

The driver ejected the teen after a brief altercation before leaving the scene.

Witness statements and CCTV footage allowed police to find the teenager the next day at Palmerston Shopping Centre, where the youth was arrested and charged with one count of assault, one with intent to steal and one serious breach of bail.

The youth was granted bail in court on September 12.

In the second incident, two youths and an unidentified co-offender allegedly broke into a Berrimah business about 2.40am on September 4, causing $500 worth of damage before stealing $1000 in alcohol.

Members of Strike Force Trident reviewed CCTV footage at the business.

Further investigations found body-worn footage captured two youths involved interacting with police 24-hours after the alleged break-in.

They were arrested and charged for unrelated matters before being identified for the business crime.

Both have been charged with one count each of breaking into a business, aggravated unlawful entry, one count of stealing and one of damage to property.

Police continue to look for the third offender allegedly involved in the break-in.

At 1.55am on Saturday, police CCTV captured four youths allegedly breaking into Casuarina Shopping Village before they were seen leaving the centre with stolen property.

All four were taken into custody and the property recovered.

Police say they will be considered for diversion programs because none had a criminal history.
