Alice Springs crime: Staff threatened with knives in alleged aggravated robbery at Ross venue

Five intruders allegedly broke into the kitchen of a licensed venue, threatened three staff with kitchen knives, and made off with cash from the till, NT Police say. Here’s what we know so far.

October 27, 10am: Five knife-wielding intruders have threatened staff at an Alice Springs venue in a terrifying aggravated robbery overnight, police allege.

Northern Territory Police are calling for information regarding the alleged incident at a licensed premises on Palm Cct, Ross, about 1.30am Sunday.

Police allege the five offenders broke into the rear of the venue and armed themselves with multiple knives they stole from the kitchen.

The intruders then allegedly threatened three staff members, demanding money.

Money was taken from the till from the till before the group allegedly fled out the back door, over the back fence and into a White Toyota HiLux before driving away, police allege.

Officers from Alice Springs General Duties, Strike Force Viper and Southern Investigations responded, and a crime scene was declared.

Investigations are continuing and anyone with information is urged to contact police on 131 444 and quote reference NTP2400108417.
