One man has been arrested after a huge brawl involving a group of about 16 men and women broke out in the carpark of the NT News building.
The large group broke out into a fight at the office at Printers Pl, off Carey St, at about 3pm on Thursday, June 6.
The screams and shouts emitted from the group could be heard from within the office, as staff were left with little option than to remain inside and call authorities.
As punches and slaps were thrown, some in the group collected small sticks from the nearby bushes, and one man was seen to brandish rocks.
One man was also seen to pull a pair of scissors during the extended scuffle.
The melee extended right the way across the carpark and spilt into the garden of the News Corp Australia owned building, with members of the group running back and forth from each other.
And while shouts, slaps and punches were thrown by multiple members of the group, two men in particular seemed to be the epicentre of the brawl.
The man who held a rock in each hand brandished them at another attacker, who was shirtless for the entire encounter.
At one point, a woman wearing a red shirt and camel coloured shorts was seen to be punched in the head by another person, and she fell to he ground.
She attempted to pull the shirtless man away from the melee multiple times.
Others tried to intervene with one man, even aggressively throwing a punch, which knocked the red hat and sunglasses off the man in the grey shirt.
More than 20 minutes later and shortly after the heat of the argument had begun once again to simmer, one NT Police unit arrived at the scene.
Upon hearing the sirens, multiple people dispersed and crossed the road to avoid the police.
Two officers were seen to speak with a couple of people, including the shirtless man, who was promptly arrested and placed into the back of the police wagon.
