Qantas launches domestic super sale with fares starting from $99 ahead of Easter holidays

The national carrier has launched a three-day sale with major discounts on over a million seats, including limited-time Easter deals ahead of the school holidays. See the list.

Efforts to save Queensland’s Easter Holidays underway

Qantas has kicked off a massive three-day sale, slashing prices on more than one million seats across 60 routes, including last-minute Easter getaway deals for Aussie travellers.

Fares start from just 4400 points (plus taxes, fees, and carrier charges) or $99 one-way, with over 30 routes available for under $150.

In a boost for families grappling with cost-of-living pressures, at least 20 of these cut-price routes will be available during the typically expensive Easter school holidays and ANZAC long weekend in April.

Domestic destinations on offer include one-way fares from Adelaide to Kangaroo Island (Kingscote) from $99, Brisbane to Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine) from $99, Gold Coast (Coolangatta) to Sydney from $109 and Melbourne to Sydney from $139.

Sale fares apply to selected travel periods throughout 2025, including April, May, and June, and are available until 11:59 PM (AEDT) on March 27, 2025, unless sold out earlier.

“With the Easter holiday break fast approaching, we’re giving customers the opportunity to plan a last minute weekend getaway or an extended interstate trip to some of the most popular destinations on our domestic network,” Qantas Domestic CEO Markus Svensson said.

“It’s also great news for our frequent flyers, with reward seats starting from just 4400 points. These are some of the lowest Classic Plus reward seats we’ve ever seen, making it even easier for members to put their points towards a well-deserved holiday.”

Jetstar kicked off the airfare sales frenzy last week as part of a $6 million Queensland tourism rescue package, following the devastation of Cyclone Alfred.

The initiative, backed by Tourism and Events Queensland and the state government, aims to counteract fears of a $300 million hit to the tourism sector due to cancelled bookings and hesitant holiday-makers.

Meanwhile, Virgin Australia had also launched a sale across its entire network - domestic and international - offering one million fares starting from $45 one-way from Ballina (Byron Bay) to Sydney.

Other one-way domestic deals in both directions include between Sydney and Melbourne from $95, Melbourne and Hamilton Island from $139 and Brisbane and Uluru from $129.

International sale fares include Melbourne return to Queenstown from $425, Sydney and Nadi (Fiji) return from $569 and Brisbane and Apia (Samoa) return from $689.

This Qantas sale, along with promotions from Jetstar and Virgin, is expected to drive a booking surge just in time for the Easter break.
