OKAY, so you’ve finished your Easter egg hunt and stuffed yourself silly with chocolate. But we’ve got one more challenge for you.

Hungarian artist Gergely Dudás is back with another festive brain teaser, this time challenging followers to hunt down a solitary egg concealed among a crowd of hand-drawn bunnies.

The image has been shared thousands of times on social media since the cartoonist posted it on his blog The Dudolf yesterday, with reactions ranging from amusement to confusion and frustration.

While some claimed to have found the egg straight away, others struggled — and, when they found it, complained that it did not look the way they expected.

“I’ve tried and tried, I just can’t find the egg,” Carol Eyden wrote on Facebook.

“Are we looking for a big one or a small one. Oh dear, it’s bothering me. Everything has ears!”

Jan Josleyn agreed, writing: “I am always very good at these but ... I sure can’t say that now, this one almost got the best of me!”

And while fan Arnold Kekesi praised Dudás’s handiwork, urging him to “keep up the good work“, others became annoyed after solving the puzzle.

(Warning: Spoiler ahead)

Christine Strayhall slammed the puzzle as “lame”, writing: “This does not remotely come close to looking like an Easter egg (or any kind of egg, for that matter)!”

Michael Lind agreed. “What a waste of time,” he wrote. “An ‘Easter’ egg should look like a painted egg.”

But others pointed out that the instructions had not, in fact, specified that it was an Easter egg.

“Unrealistic standards for eggs these days ... What is this world coming to? And the caption says ‘egg’, dude,” Clara Barba wrote.

Easter egg or ordinary hen’s egg, the matter was still not laid to rest.

“I must say this one isn’t much fair,” Marybeth Simon Stewart wrote. “It’s more like ‘spot the anomaly’ because it really doesn’t resemble an egg, Easter or otherwise.”

Mary Reade Caulfield labelled it “an all time low”.

“At least the other puzzles appeared to be the object that was in question,” she wrote.

Without further ado, we’ll let you decide for yourselves:

The humble egg.
The humble egg.

When Dudás posted his December find-the-panda puzzle, it sparked an obsession with more than 100,000 people sharing the image online.
